Diesel

​Meet Diesel a 7 yr old, red smooth coated, standard male dachshund located in Oroville. Diesel is not a mini or even a tweenie. He is a big 30 lb, healthy, very handsome, standard sized boy. He loves to cuddle or play with his people and enjoys car rides. He also enjoys spending time with his favorite chew toy. He is house trained, leash trained, knows how to use a doggie door and knows some obedience. He is crate trained and sleeps in his crate. Diesel is good with most adults but not good with children. He would probably do best as an only pet as he does not do well with other dogs, especially large dogs and is not good with cats. His owners are a young and growing family with one young child and a new baby on the way. Unfortunately, Diesel is not doing well with the child in the home and his owners have tried different avenues to help the two co-habitate to no avail. Now that there is a new baby coming, they feel he would be overwhelmed in the home and have come to the very hard decision of re-homing him to a home more suited to him. Diesel would do best as an only pet in a home with someone retired or maybe works from home with no children. A home with a nice yard for him to explore and play in. He is neutered, current on vaccinations and micro chipped. Diesel is a handsome boy and will make an excellent addition to the right home.
