Kevin

Meet Kevin, an 11 yr old 23 lb long coated chocolate dapple male Dachshund/Chihuahua (maybe some Corgi) mix located in Windsor, CA. This handsome boy enjoys playing with his squeaky toys and receiving puppy massages.  He is a sweet boy who loves to lap surf and sleep in the big bed with you. He is house trained to go outside or use pee pads, is leash trained and likes to go for car rides. He is good with adults and older children (10+). He is good with cats and has lived with them most of his life. He needs to be an only dog as he is not good with other dogs especially high energy or big dogs and he can be possessive of his people. Kevin will need to go to home with people who work from home or are retired and experienced in dealing with dachshund/dog behaviors. He is energetic and does love to go for walks and should go at least once daily, but ideally twice. If not, he can become under stimulated and anxious, which can lead to some obsessive stress behaviors like pacing and excessive licking. He will get nippy if he feels pressured. His owners are rehoming him as they are no longer able to care for him. He has flea and food allergies/sensitivities, has some benign fatty tumors and a heart murmur. He is up to date on vaccinations, neutered and micro chipped.  Again, Kevin will need to go to an experienced dog home, but will make an excellent addition to the right home.
