Ollie
Please note: This is a courtesy listing for another rescue group. Please read dog’s entire written bio before contacting the rescue.

Ollie is an 8 month old, 15 lb., red smooth coated male Chihuahua/Dachshund mix, also known as a “chiweenie”! Like many dogs found on the street, the beginning of his life was not ideal. He was rescued by a loving family in November who, like most, just wanted to help a dog in need but knew they could not keep him. That is how Ollie ended up at Beachfront Mutts Rescue in Long Beach, to make sure he could find a “furever” home and not end up in a shelter.
Ollie is full of playful puppy energy and enjoys playing fetch, going for walks and playing with other dogs. He loves a good chew toy, bone or squeaky toy and is highly treat motivated! He is timid around new people and takes a little bit to warm up, but when he does, he is a total sweetheart and loves to snuggle. He is fearful of new people in the house and will bark at first, but with training, we are seeing great progress every week! He is house trained, crate trained, neutered and up to date on all his vaccinations. He is a fun little guy that is looking for a home to call his very own!
The ideal home for Ollie would have the following attributes:
• Someone at home most of the day, stay-at-home moms/dads or remote workers.
• Another active dog to mentor him and for play and companionship. Not recommended around senior dogs because of his high energy.
• An active family that likes to take walks and is committed to socializing Ollie.
• A fenced yard for him to run around in.
• Applicants must be between 25 and 65 years of age.
• Previous experience and a willingness to invest in training.
• Previous rescue dog experience is a plus.
• No infants or toddlers, please, but we will consider families with children 6 years and up.
Ollie is neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped.

An adoption application and home check are required. Adoption fee: $300
