​Meet Sammy, a 6 yr old, 17 lb, male fox terrier/dachshund mix. Sammy is a wonder boy who LOVES his people. He loves his toys but can de-stuff them in about a minute. He loves going on walks and hiking but he also loves to chill and surf the couch while watching TV. Sammy is house trained, crate trained, leash trained, knows some obedience commands, likes to go for a car ride, and uses the doggie door like a pro!! Sammy does not do well with cats at all and he doesn't like other dogs (I think it comes from a place of fear). He is a little grumpy at bedtime so having him sleep in his crate is recommended. His crate is where he feels safe in moments of insecurity. Sam is being re-homed as his owners have other dogs and cats and even though they have tried training, etc. for quite some time, he has not been able to overcome his inability to get along with the other animals in the home. Sammy is neutered, current on vaccinations, and micro chipped. He will do best in a home familiar with the fox terrier breed, where he will be an only pet. 

Sammy is a very sweet boy and will be a loyal companion and a great addition to the right home.
