This page, dedicated to DRNC alum, "Squidward," is to allow anyone to say "Good bye" to their furbaby.
Squidward, the handsome

Squidward would want us to think of him this way—content, happy, healthy, relaxed and enjoying his lake and forest while vacationing in Montana. If he could say a few words, he would say, “Thank you to the dedicated and tireless volunteers at DRNC. Without you, enjoyment of my forever home for the last seven and one-half years of my life would not have happened.”

Chili, the sweet

Chili passed away in November at 15. Chili was a sweetheart that loved everyone. He always greeted us at night when we got home from work with an excited howl - we really miss hearing that now. We could never watch any show on television that had any type of animal - real or animated - because he would bark until they got off the screen or we turned the channel. When our daughter, Peyton first came home from the hospital he spent the entire first night sleeping under her crib. He patiently allowed her to take his toys and would chase them and bring them back until he dropped from exhaustion. He may not have been our first doxie but he earned a special place in our heart and we miss him every day. Thanks Monti for letting us raise this sweet boy! - Tracy from Utah
Rusty and Red, beautiful brothers

I had two brothers from the same litter. Rusty passed away two years ago at 12 and Red passed a month ago at 14. I'm scared to get another one since I get so attached. I still cry every day. Hopefully I can get a rescue to love and be loved. I'm in CA near Sacramento. - Anne Griffith, CA
